Can my monthly payment amount change?
Yes your monthly payment amount can change. We want to make sure that your account is perfectly balanced by the time your contract ends. We don’t want you to be unexpectedly owing us any money, and we don't want to be holding your money if we don't need to.
When we initially set your direct debit amount, it was based on the information you provided when you signed up. This information is subject to change as you continue to use energy. Providing us with regular up to date meter readings is the best way to stay on top of your usage.
We will perform a direct debit review of your account after your first month with us, and then after 6 months, to make sure you are paying the correct amount for the energy you're using. We will always give you at least 10 days notice of any change to your direct debit, in line with our Direct Debit agreement. Our payment provider, GoCardless, will provide further confirmation of this change and will send a reminder 2 days before your new payment amount is collected.
