Why do I pay the same each month if my usage changes?
Your monthly payment amount is created by estimating your usage over the course of the year and then dividing this by 12. The estimate is based on the information you provided us during sign up and will be updated as you provide meter readings to us.
We think that paying for your energy should be as simple as paying for your gym membership or favourite streaming service – especially because energy is often one of the biggest expenses faced by households. That’s why we take your payments via a fixed direct debit; because the same amount coming out of your bank account every month makes it easier for you to budget.
We conduct a direct debit review after your first month with us, and then after 6 months, to see if you are using more or less energy than originally projected. This is to ensure you are only paying for the energy you use. We will always give you at least 10 days notice of any change to your direct debit amount, in line with our Direct Debit agreement.
