Why should I set up a Direct Debit?
Setting up a monthly Direct Debit is the easiest way to make regular payments for the energy you're using.
A Direct Debit is an instruction from your bank or building society and authorises our payment provider, GoCardless, to collect a payment from your account.
Payments will automatically be taken on the date you've chosen and for the amount you've agreed. If you ever need to change your payment amount or date, just get in touch and we'll be happy to discuss this with you.
Organisations using the Direct Debit Scheme go through a careful vetting process before they're authorised to take payments. The Direct Debit Guarantee protects you in the rare event that there is an error in the payment of your Direct Debit.
The Direct Debit Guarantee:
- If there are any changes to the amount, date or frequency of your Direct Debit, we will notify you in advance. If you request us to take a payment, we will confirm the amount and date.
- If an error is made in the payment of your Direct Debit, by us or your bank or building society, you are entitled to a full refund immediately.
- If you receive a refund you are not entitled to, you must pay it back when requested to.
